To Be Alone With You - Sufjan Stevens

Sufjan Stevens is probably my all time favourite musician.
I love the music and I love the lyrics.

The way he writes is amazing.

A lot of his songs centre around his Christian beliefs, but he does it in such a way that it's not 'Schmistian' (Christian) music. I love it.
Especially this song:

-
To Be Alone With You - Sufjan Stevens
I'd swim across Lake Michigan
I'd sell my shoes
I'd give my body to be back again
In the rest of the room
To be alone with you
To be alone with you
To be alone with you
To be alone with you

You gave your body to the lonely
They took your clothes
You gave up a wife and a family
You gave your ghost
To be alone with me
To be alone with me
To be alone with me
You went up on a tree

To be alone with me
You went up on a tree

I've never known a man who loved me

Sweet. I likie. I have some albums, and just never got round to listening.

Although, I do know that the line about the tree would bother Matt Waters. You should let him listen to it.

I don't really see/talk to him enough to 'let' him listen to it...
Why would it bother him?

You should get around to listening, yep yep yep.
